The ingredients in Panadol provide up to 37% stronger pain-relieving effect compared to regular paracetamol. Gentle on stomach when used as directed.
Panadol Extra is a paracetamol-based analgesic that relieves fever and severe pain such as headaches, including migraines, muscle aches, menstrual pain, earaches and sore throats.
Instructions for use:
Oral use only.
Adults, including the elderly and children aged 12 years and over: Take 2 tablets up to 4 times daily, 8 tablets in 24 hours.
Do not exceed the specified dose.
It should not be used with other products containing paracetamol.
Not recommended for children under 12 years of age
Warnings and precautions:
Always read the label. Use treatment only as directed, to relieve pain and fever. Incorrect use can be harmful.
This treatment should not be taken at the same time as other products containing paracetamol.
Do not take this remedy if you are allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredients in this product.
If symptoms persist, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
If you have any liver or kidney problems, please consult your doctor before taking Panadol.
Please see a doctor if your symptoms do not improve.
If symptoms persist or worsen, or new symptoms appear, consult a doctor because these symptoms could indicate a serious condition.
If you have glutathione depletion conditions such as sepsis, please consult your doctor before taking Panadol.
Avoid drinking a lot of drinks that contain caffeine, such as coffee or tea, when taking this treatment.

Paracetamol overdose:
Immediate medical attention is needed in the event of a paracetamol overdose to avoid the risk of liver failure, even if no symptoms of overdose appear.
An overdose of paracetamol, more than 10 g, may cause liver failure.
Early symptoms may include paleness, nausea, vomiting, diaphoresis and general malaise.
Clinical and laboratory evidence of liver damage may not be evident until 48 to 72 hours after overdose.
Overdose should be treated immediately by gastric lavage and then intravenous administration of acetylcysteine or methionine without waiting for the results of plasma paracetamol levels.
Public supportive measures must also be available.
The importance of additional treatment is also being studied in the presence of further plasma paracetamol levels and time since ingestion of the overdose
Caffeine overdose:
Caffeine overdose may lead to epigastric pain, vomiting, diuresis, tachycardia or arrhythmia, central nervous system stimulation insomnia, restlessness, agitation, irritability, tremors, tremors and convulsions.
It should be noted that for clinically significant symptoms of caffeine overdose occurring with this product, the amount ingested would be associated with a serious case of paracetamol-related liver toxicity.
There is no specific treatment available for this, but supportive measures can be used.
In all cases where an overdose is suspected, immediate medical attention is crucial for adults as well as children, even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
Prolonged daily use of paracetamol with warfarin and other coumarins used to thin the blood may increase the risk of bleeding. Consult your doctor before taking these medicines together. Occasional doses of paracetamol do not have a significant effect.
Alcohol use can increase the liver toxic effect of Panadol Extra.
Panadol Extra is not recommended for use during pregnancy due to the possible increased risk of spontaneous miscarriage associated with caffeine consumption.
This product should not be used while breastfeeding without medical advice.
Caffeine in breast milk may have a stimulating effect on infants, but no significant toxicity has been observed
